FFC Hagen, Europe’s oldest shuttlecock club, hosted the 3rd World Cup from October 20 to October 26, 2002, in Hagen.
Ten nations were participating, while Germany as the host country was allowed to take part with two teams in each competition. With for gold and three silver medals Vietnam was the most successful nation ahead of China (three gold, four silver medals) and Hungary (six bronze medals).
Asian: Cambodia, China, Chinese Taipeh, Hong Kong, Laos, Vietnam
European: Finland, France, Germany, Hungary
